Stewarding:
Building relationships that are of value to both your nonprofit and to the donor, that last and grow.
Keeping donors coming back leads to increased donations, stronger relationships, and more benefits that can help your nonprofit in extraordinary ways—but just because something can happen does not mean that it will.
Retaining donors is part science, part art. There are proven strategies and ideas to guide your retention efforts, but, ultimately, how you retain donors will be up to the creative, dedicated efforts of your staff and Board, and sometimes, even your donors!
Donor stewardship is how donors are retained. In other words: it’s the process by which nonprofits manage and care for donors in order to build relationships that last. *
What we'll do:
● Learn from a panel of your peers how they “do” stewarding, from thanking them, to keeping them engaged, to growing them, and to them even being ambassadors for your nonprofit to thank, inform and involve your donors;
● Share ideas about your Stewardship process and explore new trends;
● Workshop your ideas in small group discussions;
● Network with your peers.
Reminder! Please bring your own lunch. Water and tea will be provided.
