Overview
The Martha’s Vineyard Nonprofit Collaborative (MVNC) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate the MVNC’s firm commitment to the privacy of the nonprofits that are listed on the site and other website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by MVNC’s website, www.mvnonprofits.org, and how this information is used.
What Personally Identifiable Information is Collected
The Nonprofits that are listed in our Directory of Nonprofits and individuals that sign up to receive MVNC e-communications or attend our events and workshops, voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name, e-mail address, name of the nonprofit they are with, title and telephone number). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes, including for some people, listing in our Nonprofit Directory where it is in public view. You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.
Cell phone numbers are only used by
MVNC to contact you when needed and are never viewable by the public or other
members. The exception is if you are the “Contact” for your organization shown
in the Directory of Nonprofits and listed your cellphone as the contact number.
How
can I see what information you have of mine?
To see what information we have of yours, look first at our Directory of Nonprofits listing for your nonprofit to see what if anything is public. Then, log into your account and look at your member profile, your events and your payments.
Giving consent for others
Information appearing in the Directory of Nonprofits is provided by the nonprofit itself, and they are responsible for its content. If you did not give a nonprofit your consent to have your name or other information listed in the Directory, contact us and we’ll remove it, and contact the nonprofit to make sure they know what you consent to or not.
