This 90-minute Zoom seminar covers options and idea for grants and most importantly, it will cut through the jargon and give step by step guidance on how the federal CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief & Economic Security) Act works for non-profits.
Learn the mechanics of applying for a loan under the Paycheck Protection Program, which covers non-profits and includes emergency loans with forgiveness options for monthly operating expenses. As well as how to think about presenting your agency persuasively to secure much needed grants and funding.

About our Course Instructor : Patricia Mitrokostas
Patricia Mitrokostas has more than twenty-five years successful experience in fundraising, strategic planning, and program development with recognized strengths in team building, public relations, grant writing, formulating business and community partnerships. With a demonstrated ability in senior management in leading and motivating staff and volunteers and increasing revenue, Patricia has been instrumental in bringing about innovative services and much needed resources to vulnerable populations and communities in need. Ms. Mitrokostas spent the last seven years working for Gosnold Treatment Center first as the Director of Prevention, and most recently as the Director of Public Relations & Organizational Advancement. Patricia spent twelve years in job training and education programs on Cape Cod and New Bedford, including serving as the Deputy Director of the City of New Bedford’s job training program, New Directions.
A graduate of Framingham State University, Patricia is a Grant Writing Instructor at Cape Cod Community College’s Center for Corporate and Community Education and is a private consultant to non-profits through her company, PJ Mitrokostas Consulting.
Working collaboratively with state organizations, community partners and behavioral health experts at a regional and state level, Patricia is a member of the Barnstable County Regional Substance Abuse Council, The Barnstable County Health & Human Services Advisory Council, the Cape Cod Healthcare Community Benefits Committee, the Barnstable County Deputy Sheriff’s Association Board of Directors and several Scholarship Committees.
