Session Three – Taking Action
In the DEI space, analysis paralysis occurs frequently. People are fearful of making a mistake, or they may feel that they simply do not have enough data. In some instances, this even becomes a form of resistance, which is why we focus on moving from talk to action. Our road map walks through the various components of developing a comprehensive plan. Also, because we know that board members often want DEI quick fixes, we emphasize the deeper work needed to address structural barriers and shift the culture.
This session will provide procedural and tactical considerations for:

Creating a shared vision for DEI

Putting DEI on the table for board composition, pipeline development, and recruitment

Engaging with community stakeholders to identify solutions and advance DEI commitments

Ensuring continuous learning and improvement
