MVNC offers several cohort-style training intensives each year. These are typically multi-session, in-person workshops that cover a specific topic or help nonprofit teams work on a specific project. These cohorts often have limited registration, a small fee, and require multiple board and staff member participation. The goal of these intensives is for organizations to have time to work collaboratively within their team and within the cohort of nonprofits to address topics and projects that will move their organizations forward.

LEADING IN TURBULENT TIMESLED by: andi genser, consultantThis 4-month cohort, led by Andi Genser, is designed to help nonprofit leaders who have graduated from INP strengthen and elevate their leadership in today’s rapidly changing and uncertain world. Together, we’ll explore strategies to lead with confidence, adaptability, and resilience—even when the path ahead isn’t clear. The group has explored common issues relating to financial sustainability, staffing, collaboration, strategic planning, and board development. Living SystemsLED by: aviva argote, consultantStarting in September of 2024, Living Systems Leadership has brought together a cohort of nonprofit executive directors from across Martha’s Vineyard to participate and interact as part of a creative systems change leadership and community evolution program. The ongoing structured practices are designed to open new possibilities for leadership and collaboration across organizations and communities. Strategic PlanningThis multi-session program will provide experiential learning of strategic planning as you and your colleagues develop and refine your organization’s strategic plan. Throughout the four, in person, half-day sessions, nonprofit leaders will strengthen their understanding of strategic planning and how it applies to their individual organization. Each participating team will leave the workshop series with a robust, implementable strategic plan and the ability and confidence to repeat this process moving forward.
