Come Learn, Share, Network and Celebrate the Accomplishments of 2019!

On Dec. 5 we’ll have the first joint meeting where ED’s and Board Chairs can meet to discuss how to individually and collectively improve their organizations, Boards and impact.

The main topic will be: How to create a culture of fundraising in your Board and Organization (see description below).

We will finish with a Holiday wine and cheese hour to toast your hard work and accomplishments in 2019!

To lead the main portion of the program, we are bringing back Susan Meier, Senior BoardSource Consultant, who was rated very highly by the attendees at our October Governance Workshop. There will be small group exercises, so it’s best if you can come as a Board Chair – ED pair, but they’ll be designed to work for singles too.

This meeting is for Board Chairs (Presidents), Officers/Board Members who will become Chair in the next year, Executive Directors and Development Directors.

How to create a culture of fundraising in your Board and Organization.We all know that Board members need to be involved in fundraising, and that they can help fundraise without having to ask for money, but why does the stigma of “asking” still prevail and how can you get your Board to do more? This session will explore the answers to these questions and give you tips and tools to improve your fundraising effectiveness by making your Board members better ambassadors and fundraisers.
