Conversation with Island Board Chairs & Board Leadership

MVNC invites Island Nonprofit Board Chairs and Board Leadership to attend this session to explore and discuss nonprofit resilience in this past year of coronavirus and economic crisis.

For Island nonprofits it felt like the perfect storm hit us in March 2020, and the impact continues.  Many had to completely or partially shut down. Program revenues and plans suffered. Expenses had to be cut. Many saw drops in contributed revenue. Balancing work/life, family, kids education, health, stress, etc. was put to the test.

Leadership was surely challenged at all levels. Many lessons and insights emerged, some to forget and some to carry into 2021.

MVNC is organizing this event to hear, share and learn from our fellow Board chairs and Board leaders.  

This event will feature a small panel of Island Board chairs who will reflect on the past year, on strategies for adapting to Covid and economic disruption, what worked and didn’t, and how their experiences will shape plans going forward.
